Quando eu partir - When I leave

When I leave

When you hear that I left don’t cry, don’t allow sadness
Get in your heart.
When your hear that I left, keep being strong and cold
As you’ve been until now.
If you hear that I’m leaving, just let me go in peace,
I don’t want, I don’t need to know about your tears,
Your regrets, if it is there.
I don’t want, with my leaving, to steal your serenity, to
Suffocate any kind of rebellion of your minds and
Please, reject the possibility of asking me for
Forgiveness, because your forgiveness I have already
Give it to you at the day lives were given to you.
If you hear that I left, don’t let the tears blur your
Make-up since I’ll have already left, I won’t be here,
I won’t be able to comfort you, to calm your tears.

If you hear that I’m leaving, let the indifference that
You’ve treated me for so long prevail, don’t cry or
Feel obligated to see me.
If sadness knock persistently on the door of your hearts,
Don’t open it, let the sorrow to experience the coldness
Of your indifference, the indifference that you have
Treat me with.
When you hear that I left, don’t allow the regret trouble
Your peace, because I’ll have left and there will be
Nothing you can do to fixe what has been broken for
So long.
If you come to know that I have left, be glad, be glad
Because you won’t have to pretend that I don’t exist,
That you don’t see me as I cross your  way.

When you hear that I have left, don’t think about the
Past, don’t search for the much or the less of what
We’ve lived together.
I will have left and the much or the less we’ve done
Together will dissolve in time, it will fall in oblivion, it
Will pass away like everything that happens under
The sun.
When you hear that I left, just live your lives without
Allow the past wake you suddenly in the middle of
The night to ask you for explanations about what you
Have done with me.
Live and forget about what has happened.

O “daqui a pouco”.
