A madrugada - Dawn

                                                      Foto: S. Trindade

A madrugada, ainda sonolenta, me olha de soslaio e curiosa,
Vasculha a minha mente tentando descobri onde perdi o
Companhia.

Somos namorados, estamos namorando, eu e a lua.

Dawn

Dawn comes softly; she comes to remind me that night is over.
In the middle of the night the sleep abandon me and, unable
To sleep again, I got lost in endless thought and I did not
Realize the day dawning. The dawn, sarcastic, looks at me
With a mischievous smile on her lips and questions if I intend
To invite her to lie with me. Embarrassed I try to smile of
What I think to be a joke of the lady dawn.

The dawn, still sleepy, look at me and curious searches my
Mind trying to figure out where I lost my sleep, and if I lost it
In the nothing. As soon as the dawn leaves the sun rises and the
Morning comes. The early morning scared the insomnia that
Leaves me, but not before telling me that at night she will be
Back to keep me company.

Late afternoon the sun say goodbye to me, wishing me a good
Night. The night is cool; the wind blows soft as a promise of
Peace, the moon shines in the sky inviting me to a walk, which
I accept and I go. We are lovers; we are dating, me and the
Moon. At this moment I don’t think about anything if not to be
Happy. It is time to go home where my loneliness is waiting
Me, it awakes me and despair me, it just blows away my sleep
That gets back only when it is dawning.

O “daqui a pouco”.
