Dada as circunstâncias - Considering the circumstances

Dada as circunstâncias, entendo ser prudente  

dizer "sim", antes de irritar o "não".
As dúvidas?

Não importam!

As dúvidas são tímidas e inseguras,

reservadas, jamais questionarão.

Se a intenção é pecar, pecado tolo é perda

de tempo.   

A sentença que sentencia o pecadinho é a 

mesma que pune o pecadão, a penitência a 

ser paga tem o mesmo tamanho.

Quem responde "sim" sabendo que deveria 

responder "não", vive sem perdão. 

Aqueles que respondem "não" quando a 

situação espera pelo "sim" estam na contra 

mão, e a contramão contrariada não os 

amparará.

Mentira, mentira, é tudo mentira!

 
A arte do convencimento é insana, é uma 

loucura a qual só os incautos lhe dá 

atenção.

Constantemente vejo gente vivida sendo  

convencidas a crer no engano. 

  

Não entendo!

Dadas as circunstâncias, é melhor dizer

"não"  do que dar vez ao arrependimento.

Sair à noite ultimamente tem sido tão 

perigoso que até mesmo os cachorros tem 

evitado fazer suas rondas noturnas.

 

Que situação!

 

Prefuri estar bêbadi!

Eu bêbado não sou assaltado, não sou 

atropelados, e nem erro o caminho de 

casa.

Não estou sujerindo que vivente algum

beba, só estou observando que os 

bêbados não dão ouvidos a tolices.

Dadas as circunstâncias creio que calar,

apesar de não ser a solução, é melhor 

que beber.

Os sobrios sempre saberão como foram 

engolidos, já os bêbados nunca saberão.

Considering the circumstances

Given the circumstances, I think it’s prudent  

to say “yes” rather than risk provoking a “no.”

Doubts?

They don’t matter!

Doubts are timid and insecure,

reserved; they will never question.

If the intention is to sin, a foolish sin is a

waste of time.   

The sentence that condemns the little sin is the 

same as the one that punishes the big sin; the penance 

to be paid is just as great.

Whoever answers “yes” knowing they should 

answer “no” lives without forgiveness. 

Those who answer “no” when the 

situation calls for “yes” are going against the 

grain, and going against the grain will not 

support them.

Lies, lies, it’s all lies!

 

The art of persuasion is insane; it’s a 

madness to which only the unwary pay 

attention.

I constantly see experienced people being  

persuaded to believe the deception. 

  

I don’t get it!

Given the circumstances, it’s better to say

“no”  than to give way to regret.

Going out at night lately has been so 

dangerous that even the dogs have 

been avoiding their nightly patrols.

 

What a mess!

 

I’d rather be drunk!

When I’m drunk, I don’t get mugged, I don’t 

get run over, and I don’t even lose my way 

home.

I’m not suggesting that anyone

drink; I’m just pointing out that 

drunk people don’t listen to nonsense.

Given the circumstances, I believe that keeping quiet,

though not the solution, is better 

than drinking.

Sober people will always know how they were 

taken in, while drunk people will never know.
