Empederni

Sou constantemente constrangido pela gramática da
língua portuguesa, por desconhece-la.
Escrever nesse idioma, é uma temeridade, é uma
verdadeira casca de banana.
Sinceramente falando, nem me atrevo a discutir
decorrer da minha vida, me sinto totalmente
brasileiro.

Vejamos!
Vejamos se, sendo você um conhecedor a
gramática da língua portuguesa, consegue analisar
com precisão as seguintes palavras; chá, xá, sede,

Nós temos a nossa língua, o "brasileiro", e ela é
portuguesa.

Por onde andas? - Where are you now?

vieste me visitar.

Ontem à tarde sentei-me naquele mesmo lugar
amada, deixei a saudade dominar o meu peito e

tocando.
teu olhar.
Sinto saudades dos teus telefonemas
perguntando se tudo vai bem, e tu me  dizendo
sentir a minha falta.
estivesses aqui comigo.

Where are you now?

It's been a long time since your smile knocked on
my door, it's been a long time since I heard you
say, "See you later."
Where are you now?
You left promising to return, and you never came
back to visit me.
From time to time, in groups of friends, someone
mentions your name and my heart, awakens and
asks me when I will look for you.
Where are you now?

Yesterday afternoon I sat in that same place where
we used to meet in the late afternoons, and then
the waiter asked for you.
Still your friend, but keeping you as my beloved,
I let the longing dominate my chest and my heart
cried.
It's been a long time since I felt your perfume
embrace me, and your long hair caress my skin.
Where are you now?

It's been a long time since I heard your voice
calling me, nor felt the softness of your hand
touching me.
It's been a long time since we last spoke, it is a
long time since I seen the light in your eyes.
I miss your phone calls asking me if everything is
alright, and you telling me you miss me.
What changed?
Why did you leave?
My heart has been crying out for you for since
you have gone.
Yesterday, late in the afternoon, I really wished
you were here with me.

Contar-te-ei - I'll tell you.

Contar-te-ei o que a chuva, pedindo segredo, me
contou.
Entregar-te-ei o que o vento, em sua fuga eterna,
me entregou.
Ensinar-te-ei o que o tempo, velho sábio, me
ensinou.

Agora ande!
Ande e ensinar-te-ei a andar sob o escuro do

Não me peça!

O vento me pediu para te entregar as lágrimas

poder vencer.

Contar-te-ei que a lua que brilha no céu,
só sai à noite, exclusivamente, para te
encontrar.

amar.

I'll tell you

I will tell you what the rain, asking for secrecy, told me.
I will give you what the wind, in its eternal flight, gave
me.
I will teach you what time, the wise old man, taught me.

Now walk!
Walk and I will teach you to walk under the darkness of
the eclipse and I will silence you if you cry the fears
that your fear makes you feel.

Don't ask me!
Don't ask me because, even if you ask me, I will not
wipe away your tears of terror.
It makes no sense to avoid the frights that only the fear
of the fear you feel is capable of making you feel.

I tell you that the rain told me that when it falls, it falls
anxious to be supported by you, it falls anxious to fall
asleep in your arms.

The wind asked me to deliver to you the tears that your
eyes will cry when it blows, the dust that is life,
on your face.

I will tell you then that the dust into which your body
will transform will, with the passing of time, gain a
new life and return to life.

Time asked me not to haunt you, it begged me not to tell
you about the secrets of life before your life ends.

Run!
If you don't want me to hear your cries while you are
immersed in agony, run.
Run!

If you don't wish to live my uncertainties, trust more in
your certainties and run, run so that time doesn't catch
you.

If you are sure that you can live with your fears, then
don't be afraid of a fear that you know you can
overcome.

I'll tell you that the moon that shines in the sky, only
comes out at night, exclusively, to meet you.

I'll make you believe that the sun that shines in the sky,
shines only to enchant you.
I'll convince you that the storms that break over you,
don't intend to drown you.

From all that I know about life, the thing I know best
is that love was created only to love you.

Os infortúnios - Misfortunes

Pesadelos, desalento que relata casos, e
desesperos.
Sofrimento, sujeito que mora nas
favelas, favelas que desmoronam ao
menor sopro do vento.
trás a vida.

Vai! Toma o seu lugar e se senta.
Sente-se e espera o descuido do sol
A ignorância espera reviver tudo
vivido outra vez.

A estrada, o trilho, o choro e frio, tudo

Olho, e meio decepcionado, percebo
o quanto fui tolo ao sorrir dos
infortúnios escondidos no amanhã
aguardando por mim.
Um amanhã, seio de mistérios e que
se não o tomo por meu, só o verei
como o ontem.

Misfortunes

Nightmares, despondency that recounts
events, and despair.
Suffering, a subject who lives in the
favelas, favelas that crumble at the
slightest breath of wind.
The terror is so great that a simple
scream causes an endless stampede!
The world runs aimlessly and leaves
life behind.
Life flees, but soon after, tired, it sits
and waits for the dreams that yearn to
be dreamed.

A smile, and the false perception that
sadness has vanished.
Go! Take your place and sit down.
Sit down and wait for the sun to be
careless to go outside to see if the life
that had been left behind is arriving.
Ignorance hopes to relive everything it
has already lived without realizing
that what has already been lived will
never be lived again.

The road, the trail, the tears and the
cold, everything that was today is gone,
it's in the past, transformed into
yesterday without looking back and
giving way to goodbye.

The smile gave birth to sadness and
left, went away never to return.
The smile is gone and left in its place
the emptiness of indifference that came
to stay forever.
Whenever I need to smile, I will look
at yesterday, since today is nothing
more than a promise, and tomorrow is
an expectation.

I look at yesterday, as I look at an
elderly person, someone who has
already lived everything.
I look, and somewhat disappointed,
I realize how foolish I was to smile at
the misfortunes hidden in tomorrow
waiting for me.
A tomorrow, a bosom of mysteries,
and if I don't take it as my own,
I will only see it as yesterday.

O voo do beija-flor - The hummingbird's flight

O beija-flor voa!
O beija-flor voa e, o seu voar bolina com a
imaginação do vivente que o assiste voar.

Voa!
beija-flor me convida a sonhar.
beija-for é capaz de voar.
O beija-flor voa!
O beija-flor voa e, em seu lindo voar, ele me
estimula a devanear.

The hummingbird's flight

Light as a dancer, the hummingbird waltzes among the flowers.
Just as a lover's hand wanders over the body of his beloved,
the hummingbird touches the flowers with its kisses.
The hummingbird lies upon the flowers as softly as dew rests
on the grass.
Softly, like a blowing breeze, the hummingbird flies, flies, and
its flight adorns the gardens!

The hummingbird flies!
The hummingbird floats like a feather and, like the leaves loose
in the wind, it rises and falls in a flight that only it is capable of.
The hummingbird flies, it flies as the most daring dreams are
capable of flying.
The hummingbird flies!
The hummingbird flies, and its flight plays with the imagination
of the living being who watches it fly.

Fly!
The serenity of the hummingbird's flight is like the snow sliding
down my windowpane.
Suddenly, in a gentle blink of an eye, the hummingbird invites
me to dream.
I dream, I dream of being able to fly as only the hummingbird is
capable of flying.
The hummingbird flies!
The hummingbird flies and, in its beautiful flight, it stimulates me
to daydream.

Filosofias - Philosophies

A filosofia do "adeus", desafiando
a sua lógica, na hora da
despedida, ainda que frustrada,
sorri.
Ela sorri não sei de que!
As despedidas ferem, machucam
quem fica, e fere quem parte.

Em seu íntimo, a filosofia do
"adeus" sorri do vazio que chega,
quando das despedidas.
Ela sorri ao perceber que eu, seu
discípulo, só se me dou conta de
que é  melhor ficar que partir,
quando já estou me despedindo.
Nesse momento, já abraçados
pelo frio da tristeza, choro.

A filosofia do "medo", sempre
me induz  a crer que ficar, ainda
que sofrendo, é melhor que o
adeus, mas as lágrimas me
convencem que o frio do
desamor adoece o meu espírito.

Confuso, em meio a tantas
filosofias, não encontro abrigo
em nenhuma delas.
As "lágrimas" me chamam de
fraco.
O "medo" zomba da minha
covardia e as "mentiras" me
tomam por tolo.

A filosofia do "sorriso" me
assusta quanto a percebo
sorrindo da minha intenção de
voltar a me apaixonar.
Então me apaixono!
Me apaixono e a filosofia do
"sorriso" me tem por tolo, tolo
por acreditar na paixão.

Estando sozinho, percebi,
há tempo, que a filosofia do
"não sofrer" me encoraja a
não me apaixonar e, não me
apaixonar é algo que não
pretendo viver.

Philosophies

The philosophy of "goodbye," defying its logic,
at the moment of parting, even if frustrated,
smiles.
It smiles, I don't know why!
Farewells wound, hurt those who stay,
and wound those who leave.

Deep down, the philosophy of "goodbye"
smiles at the emptiness that arrives when
farewells occur.
It smiles when it realizes that I, his disciple,
only realize that it's better to stay than to leave
when I'm already saying goodbye.
At that moment, already embraced by the cold
of  sadness, I cry.

The philosophy of "fear" always leads me to
believe that staying, even suffering, is better
than to leave, but the tears convince me that
the cold of lovelessness sickens my spirit.
Confused, amidst so many philosophies, I find
no shelter in any of them.
The "tears" call me weak.
The "fear" mocks of my cowardice, and the "lies"
take me for a fool.

The philosophy of the "smile" frightens me when
I realize I'm smiling at my intention to fall in
love again.
Then I fall in love!
I fall in love, and the philosophy of the "smile"
considers me a fool, a fool for believing in
passion.

Being alone, I realized, long ago, that the
philosophy of "not suffering" encourages me not
to fall in love, and not falling in love is
something I don't intend to experience.

Planeta está enfermo - The planet is sick.

quais nunca oram.

O sol queima as florestas, ceifa vidas, derrete geleiras,
seca rios e transborda oceanos.

The planet is sick.

In the darkness of the night, the moon shines in the sky
and pours all its mysteries upon the earth.
The silence of the dawn, tenebrous as it is, pretending
not to know itself part of the system, silently watches
the careless coming and going of the stars that,
in a moment of carelessness, fall into the sea and cause
it to overflow.
The sea overflows and its waters, furious at the disregard
with which it are treated, chase after everything it believe
it can reach.
Stunned, without understanding what is happening,
seeing the sea in turmoil, the humans look to the sky and
plead for mercy.

The wind blows!
The wind blows typhoons, tornadoes, storms and
destroys everything it finds in its path.
After the storm, the humans find themselves without
shelter!
The despondency of the cold is the most comfortable
garment that man finds.
Crying, the living look to the sky in search of God,
the God in whom they do not believe.
Unprotected, the humanity seeks shelter in prayers,
which they never pray.

The day dawns and, in a storm, the sun crashes down
on the earth.
Burning with fever, the sun allows its heat to set
everything ablaze, everything that lies beneath its body.
The sun burns the forests, reaps lives, melts glaciers,
dries up rivers and overflows oceans.
Feverish, the sun consumes the waters that rest beneath
its light and, in convulsions, vomits them upon the
earth in the form of rain, causing unimaginable
destruction.

When the planet earth trembles with cold.
The earth trembles violently and, in a burst, causes
devastating earthquakes that tear away, at once,
everything that the living have engraved on their bodies.
The planet is outraged by the neglect with which it has
always been treated.
The sea vomits up the waste we force it to swallow and,
in a gigantic tsunami, invades the land and makes men
weep for their recklessness.
The sea forces living beings to understand that without
a peace agreement with the planet they will not survive.

Por que não? - Why not?

orvalho beijar a tua face?

Why not?

Why not?
Why not say "I love you" if you are in love?
Why not smile the smile that longs to grace your lips?
Why not travel the road that opens before you,
Why not look at the sun while it shines in its most
intense form in the sky?
Why not?
Why not?

Why not wrap yourself in the rain when it clothes your
skin with its freshness?
Why not embrace the breeze when it softens your heart
and makes it feel loved?
Why not?
Why not go out into the street at dawn and feel the dew
kiss your face?
Why not live the loves that life offers?
Why not?
Why not?

Why not forget the sorrows that afflict you
while you live the happiness that life is offering you?
Why not?
Why don't you run to meet the love that comes to meet
you?
Why not wake up in the middle of the night to hear the
silence tell you how loved you are?
Why not follow love wherever it wants to take you?
Why not?
Why not?

Contraditório - Contradictory

Desde que verti as primeiras lágrimas
por causa de paixão, tornei-me um
discípulo do contraditório.

Sendo um discípulo do contraditório,
amo as contradições, ainda que estas
me consumam.

Enlouquecido, tomado pelas
contradições, amo sem me atentar
para as lágrimas que irei derramar.

Louco, vivendo os mistérios da
loucura da paixão, amo.
Apaixonado, fujo da paixão, enquanto
abraçando ela.

Chorar por causa de paixão, há muito,
deixou de me fazer mau.
Jurando jamais me apaixonar, me
apaixono.
Tolice, tolice, tolice!

O contraditório, se mulher fosse, não
me amaria tanto.
A paixão sempre me cobra mais do
que tenho para entregar.

Sem perceber o papel a mim atribuído
no tabuleiro da paixão, custei a me

querer me apaixonar já estando
apaixonado por quem, certamente,
nunca irá me amar.

Tornei-me contraditório desde a
primeira vez que chorei por causa de
paixão.

Contradictory

Ever since I shed my first tears  because
of passion, I became a disciple of
contradiction.

Being a disciple of  contradiction,
I love the contradictions, even if they
consume me.

Driven mad, consumed by
contradictions, I fall in love without
worry to the tears that I may be shed.

Mad, living the mysteries of  the
madness of the passion, I fall in love.
In love, I flee from passion, while
embracing it.

To crying because of the passion,
long ago, ceased to harm me.
Swearing never to fall in love, I fell in
love.
Foolish, foolish, foolishness!

The contradiction, if it were a woman,
It wouldn't love me that much.
The passion always demands more
from me than I am able to give.

Without realizing the role assigned
to  me on the chessboard of passion,
it took me a while to realize that in
this game, my assignment is to suffer.

Ever since "falling in love" stole my
smile, I don't know what it's like to
smile with happiness.

And so I live the contradiction of
not wanting to fall in love while
already being in love with someone
who, certainly,  will never love me.

I became contradictory since the
first time I cried because of the
passion.

Meu pranto - My Tears

indo me guardar em meu silêncio.
Deixa-me ficar calado, não digas nada,
apenas ouça a tua mudez conversar
comigo.
a tua ausência ficar comigo.

Cale!
Cale e deixe a tristeza dos meus olhos
passear em tua face, antes de eu
abandonar os sonhos que sonhei viver
contigo.
Por favor!
Não interrompa o meu pranto, quando
eu estiver me despedindo, te dizendo
adeus.
assim.

My Tears

No!
Don’t try to stop my weeping when I
am crying over the sorrows you
have brought into my life.
Don’t try to wipe away my tears,
when my tears are
raining down on your sense of pity.
Please!
Don’t stop me from leaving when I
decide to abandon the sadness that lives in
my heart.

No!
Don’t hold me, don’t try to stop me from
leaving you when I’m running away,
going to take refuge in my silence.
Let me be silent; don’t say anything,
just let your silence speak
to me.
Don’t say anything when I fall silent and only
your absence remains with me.
No!
Don’t interrupt my forced smile
as it says goodbye to you.

Be quiet!
Be quiet and let the sadness in my eyes
wander across your face, before I
abandon the dreams I dreamed of living
with you.
Please!
Don’t interrupt my tears when
I’m saying my goodbyes, telling you
goodbye.
Don’t hug me, don’t hold me in your
arms when I’m heading
toward loneliness.
Please don’t pretend to feel something you
don’t feel for me.
No!
Don’t say anything when I’m walking
away from you—just  let me go; it’ll be easier
that way.
