Das coisas vividas - From Life Experiences

Das coisas vividas ficaram
as recordações, os sins e os
nãos.
Ficaram, também, os
sorrisos, as lágrimas, as
mãos e as contra mãos.

Preguei uma mentira só
para sentir as reações.
Percebi crédito e
descrédito e muitas
interrogações.
Então os afagos e, logo a
seguir, os empurrões.

Das coisas vividas, sem
novidades ou
depreciação.
Num momento eu estou lá
em cima, para logo a
seguir ser atirado ao chão.

O passado e o presente,
nada mais são que
arguição.
Não me darei por
convencido sem uma boa
explicação.

Das coisas vividas não
guardo lamentações.
O que havia de ser
chorado, já chorei e então,
choro mais não.

Acabou está acabado!
Por mais que ainda doa
vai passar.
Se até o "ontem" foi
embora, por que o "hoje"
haveria de querer ficar?

From Life Experiences

From the things I’ve experienced, remained
the memories, and the “yeses,” and the
“nos.”
What also remain are the
smiles, the tears, the
hands, and the clasped hands.

I told a single lie
just to gauge the reactions.
I sensed belief and
disbelief and many
questions.
Then came the caresses, and right
afterward, the shoves.

Of the things I’ve lived through, without
any new developments or
disparagement.
One moment I’m up
there, only to be
thrown to the ground the next.

The past and the present—
they’re nothing more than
questioning.
I won’t be
convinced without a good
explanation.

Of the things I’ve lived through, I
hold no regrets.
What needed to be
mourned, I’ve already mourned, and so,
I mourn no more.

It’s over—it’s finished!
No matter how much it still hurts,
it will pass.
If even the “yesterday” has
gone, why would  the “today”
would want to stay?

O meu medo do medo - My fear of the fear

Não deixo de agir só por causa do medo, o medo que me provoca medo me amedrontará independente do que eu penso ou deixo de pensar. O medo é ...
