Em que mundo vives? - In what world do you live?

 

Quando rejeitas da verdade a
mentira te abraça e, astuta como é, 

ela fala para ti com astúcia, falsa 

sabedoria, e então a pergunta te 

pergunta: 

“Em que mundo vives?

Estúpido não ouves a verdade que

te grita a verdade todos os dias?

Por ventura és moco?

A verdade está decepcionada 

contigo. 

Sem a presença da verdade em
tua vida, tudo, ainda que de
brincadeira, deixa de ser
brincadeira e vira brincadeira de
mau gosto.

Sendo a verdade o medicamento
indicado para curar o mal da
decepção, vivendo no mundo da
mentira a quem recorreria caso
necessite medicar o teu coração?

Se aceitas a mentira por verdade
está, espiritualmente, enfermo e
necessita ser medicado.
A mentira nunca mente, ela é
mentirosa todos sabemos disto.

When you reject the truth,
lie embraces you and, cunning as it is,
she speaks to you with cunning, false
wisdom, and then the question asks

"In what world do you live?"

Stupid, you don't hear the truth that

Que o amanhã nos perdoe - May tomorrow forgive us.

    

Que o amanhã tenha misericórdia de nós,

os viventes, que o arrependimento não
nos torture a ponto de nos 

arrependermos das escolhas de agora.

Pilatos lavou suas mãos e nos deu a
decidir a sorte da verdade e, assustado,
assisto os viventes pedindo para que 

seja libertada a mentira.

Entristecido o céu escureceu e derramou
suas lágrimas sobre os viventes que,
imperturbáveis, pediam: - Liberte a
mentira!

O céu não se conteve, furioso trovejou,
trovejou e prometeu que jamais ouviria

as preces daqueles que condenaram a 

morte a verdade.

Que o amanhã tenha misericórdia de nós,

que a sua fúria não nos condene ao 

arrependimento eterno e que o perdão, 

ainda que não o mereçamos, nos perdoe.

May tomorrow forgive us.

May tomorrow have mercy on us, the living,

may repentance not torture us to the point

of us to regret our choices. Pilate washed his hands and gave us the

O lamentar dos ventos - The lament of the winds

Não tenho certeza dos motivos de
os ventos cantarem, mas sempre
os ouço cantando em meu
telhado nas noites frias de inverno.

O cantar dos ventos, aos meus
ouvidos, mas parecem lamentos
que canções, e como lamentos,
entristecem muito o meu coração.

Ainda que eu desconheça os
motivos de os ventos lamentarem
tanto enquanto cantam, eu o
compreendo e lamento.

Lamento os ventos baterem em
minha janela para que eu ouça o
seu cantar, quando não tenho
palavras para os confortar.

The lament of the winds

I'm not sure why the winds sing,

but I always hear them singing

on my roof on the cold winter

nights. The singing of the winds,

to my ears, sounds more like

laments than songs,

and like laments,

they greatly sadden my heart. Even though I don't know why

the winds lament so much

while they sing,

I understand and lament it. I lament the winds to beat on

my window to make me hear

their singing, when I have no

words to comfort them.

Política - Politics

A política é tão importante em nossa vidas
quanto o ar que respiramos.
É a política que decide tudo em as nossas
vidas enquanto cidadão.

A política decide quanto de imposto que
devo pagar, em que bairro posso morar, a
escola onde meus filhos vão estudar, e até
por onde posso caminhar.

A política, se bem pensarmos, é uma
arma que se a sociedade não souber o
quão importante e poderosa ela é, ela
destroi a todos.

A sociedade precisa conhecer a política e
saber como ela funciona, para tirar o
melhor ela tem a oferecer. A ignorância
política é um veneno.

Todos os viventes com o mínimo de
respeito a sua própria vida, dá à política a
atenção e o respeito que ela merece ter.
A política não perdoa a idiotice.

A política é como a arma de fogo, se bem
manuseada ela protege a nossas vida,
mas se descuidada e ela mata até os
nossos sonhos.

Não confundamos a política com os
políticos, os políticos passam mas a
política é eterna. A política pode ser o céu
ou o inferno tudo vai depender do eleitor.

Politics

Politics is as important in our lives
as the air we breathe.
It is politics that determines everything in

our lives as citizens.

Politics determines how much tax I
must pay, which neighborhood I can live in,

the school where my children will study, and

even where I can walk.

Politics, if we think about it, is a
weapon that, if society does not realize
how important and powerful it is, will
destroy us all.

Society needs to understand politics and
know how it works in order to get the
best it has to offer. Political
ignorance is poison.

Everyone with even a modicum of
respect for their own life gives politics the
attention and respect it deserves.
Politics does not forgive stupidity.

Politics is like a firearm: if
handled properly, it protects our lives,
but if mishandled, it kills even
our dreams.

Let’s not confuse politics with
politicians; politicians come and go, but
politics is eternal. Politics can be heaven
or hell it all depends on the voter.

Desconfio - I suspect

Sempre desconfiei da sinceridade
que desconfia da minha
sinceridade, Claro, sendo humano,
aqui e ali, tive os meus tropeços
mas nada que mudasse a
verdade.

A sinceridade que desconfia de
tudo e de todos peca pela falta de
confiança. Sinceridade que não 
confia merece ser desconfiada,
daí eu desconfiar das sinceridades
exacerbadas.

É normal que a sinceridade se
cerque de cuidados, a prudência
ensina prudência, mas daí
desconfiar da sinceridade dos 

outros os viventes é soberba, 

então deve ser desprezada.

Sempre desconfiei da sinceridade
que desconfia da minha
sinceridade. A sinceridade
desconfiada me induz a desconfiar,
inclusive, da boa intenção da sua
sinceridade.

I suspect

I have always been suspicious of the sincerity

that is suspicious of my

sincerity. Of course, being human,

here and there, I’ve had my stumbles,

truth.

trust. Sincerity without

trust deserves to be viewed with suspicion,

A bebida e eu. - Alcohol and I.

Apesar de todo o fascínio da bebida,
nunca me deixei embriagar pelo seu
encanto.
A conversa entre a bebida e eu
sempre foi plena de franqueza.

A bebida e eu sempre nos tratamos
com moderação e respeito.
Claro, sendo mulher, e como toda as
mulheres aqui e ali ela faz o seu
charmes.

Eu cuido.
A regra é a seguinte: o primeiro trago
é aquele abraço de boas vindas, o
segundo copo é a dose do bate papo,
coisa para dar tempo de o tempo
passar.

Depois de muito proseado, a
ponderação serve a terceira dose
lembrando que já deu, e que é o
momento de pararmos.
Então paramos.

Alcohol and I.

Despite all the allure of the alcohol,
I’ve never let myself be intoxicated by its
charm.
The relationship between alcohol and I
has always been one of complete candor.

The alcohol and I have always treated each other
with moderation and respect.
Of course, being a woman, and like all
women, here and there it works its
charms.

I’m careful.
The rule is this: the first sip
is like the welcoming hug; the
second glass is the “chat” drink,
something to give the time, time 
to pass.

After plenty of chatting,
common sense serves up the third drink,
reminding us that enough it is enough, and that it’s
time to stop.
So we stop.

As ilusões - Illusions

Não abraço o que não me é dado a

abraçar, não me pertence então não
é meu.
Entendo que ainda que a noite
venha ao meu encontro ela, comigo,
nunca se deitará.

A madrugada normalmente é gélida,
então nunca espero que ela venha
me aquecer.
Eu nunca abraço o que não me é
dado a abraçar.

Os devaneios são viagens cujo o
destino pode ser a deceção.
Quando viajando em devaneios não
envolvo o meu coração e nem tento
enganar a razão.

Não abraço o que não me é dado a
abraçar porque os sorrisos se
apagam, os abraços desabraçam, e
os dias anoitecem e, de repente,
fica só o adeus, então não abraço o
que não me é dado a abraçar.

Illusions

I do not embrace what I am not given to
embrace; it does not belong to me, so it is not
mine.
I do understand that even if the night
comes to meet me, it will never
lie down with me.

The early morning is usually freezing,
so I never expect it to come
and warm me.
I never embrace what I am not
allowed to embrace.

Daydreams are journeys whose
destination may be disappointment.
When traveling in daydreams, I do not
wrap my heart up in them, nor do I try
to deceive the reason.

I do not embrace what I am not given to
embrace because smiles fade, 

hugs let go, and days turn to night, 

and suddenly, only the goodbye remains,

so I do not embrace what I am not given

to embrace.

Percebi - I realized

A tua indiferença me abraça de tal
forma que sinto os seus braços
gélidos abraçando o meu espírito.

A indiferença é um sentimento que dói,
mas sou um bom jogador.
Percebo que acreditas que não noto a
tua indiferença para comigo, mas
percebo.

Verdade!
Se desde de o início da nossa jornada
não tivesses me tratado com indiferença,
talvez eu não tivesse percebido que eu
não significava nada para ti.

Mas eu te digo, eu percebi e não me
permiti criar nenhum tipo de ilusão.
Agora só estou seguindo a lei do tempo,
o tempo traz, o tempo leva.

A indiferença é uma enfermidade fatal,
não há cura para ela, ela mata todo e
qualquer tipo de sentimento ainda no
nascedouro.

I realized

Your indifference envelops me in such a
way that I feel its
icy arms embracing my spirit.

Indifference is a feeling that hurts,
but I’m a good actor.
I realize that you think I don’t notice
your indifference toward me, but
I do.

It’s true!
If, from the very beginning of our journey,
you hadn’t treated me with indifference,
perhaps I wouldn’t have realized that I
meant nothing to you.

But I’ll tell you this: I realized it, and I didn’t
allow myself to harbor any illusions.
Now I’m just following the law of time, 

time brings, time takes away.

Indifference is a fatal disease;
there’s no cure for it, indifference kills every
single feeling while it’s still in
its infancy.

A história - The Story

História são histórias, são fatos que
cada vivente relata conforme a sua
verdade.

É verdade que nem toda as histórias
nascem mentirosas, mas depois de
muito contadas(…).

Até a verdade, ainda que verdadeira,
tem a sua relatividade, daí existirem
três verdades.

Sim!
Existem três verdades, a sua, a minha,
e a verdadeira.

Que infelicidade!
Normalmente, a verdade que prevalece
é sempre a última que foi contada.

História são fatos que, na maioria das
vezes não se deram como foram ou
são contadas.

Stories are stories; they are facts that
every living person recounts according to their
own truth.

It’s true that not all stories
start out as lies, but after
being told many times (…).

Even the truth, though true,
has its own relativity, which is why there are
three truths.

Yes!
There are three truths: yours, mine,
and the real one.

How unfortunate!
Usually, the truth that prevails
is always the last one that was told.

History consists of facts that, in most
cases, did not happen the way they were
or are told.

Tombos e desilusões - Setbacks and disappointments

Dos tombos às desilusões e às lágrimas,
contudo não aprendi a não me entregar
aos devaneios, devaneio!
Sujeito inconsequente, faz-se de
demente com a intensão de enganar.

Calo o sorriso, enxugo às lágrimas e
interrompo o soluçar.
Dei-me ao devaneio, me enganei porque
permiti me enganar.
Devaneios!

Os devaneios são pensamentos
trapaceiros, são sujeitos que já nascem
com a intenção de trapacear.
Devaneios, descuidos que normalmente
fazem chorar.

Eu, vivente dado aos devaneios, já
conheço esta caminhada, tomei muitas
palmadas por me deixar enganar. Não,
não sou tolo, só sou um pisciano
vivendo sua característica de sonhar.

Setbacks and disappointments

From stumbles to disappointments and tears,
yet I haven’t learned to stop giving in
to daydreams, daydreams!
A reckless soul, pretending to be
mad with the intent to deceive.

I stifle my smile, wipe away my tears, and
stop my sobbing.
I gave in to daydreams; I have been deceived because
I allowed myself to be deceived.
Daydreams!

Daydreams are deceitful thoughts;
they are beings born
with the intention of deceiving.
Daydreams careless moments that usually
bring tears.

I, a living soul prone to daydreams, already
know this path well; I’ve taken many
blows for letting myself be deceived. No,
I’m not a fool, I’m just a good Pisces
living my characteristic of to dream.
