Tropeço
e caio,
Não foi
um desmaio,
Não foi uma peça que o destino me pregou.
Embriagado, em meus devaneios, não
Percebo o desespero das lágrimas e
Nem me
dou conta dos “nãos”.
É tudo
tão parecido tal como um sermão.
Tropeço
e caio,
Mas não
peço um abraço para me segurar.
Tudo
permanece em seu lugar, menos
As lágrimas que meus olhos choram.
O disfarce não me conforta, a vergonha
Do tombo dói mais que a queda.
Eu
não deveria ter saído do meu lugar.
Tropeço
e caio.
Não é bebedeira.
Dei
bandeira, que besteira!
Cair
e não querer me levantar.
Desistir
da vida nem pensar,
Ficar
no mesmo lugar entristece,
Faz
chorar.
Tropeço
e caio. já vivi esta situação.
Não espero que me me levantes, nem
Que me estendas a mão.
Preciso
aprender a ser só, urge eu
saber
Recomeçar, não posso viver a tropeçar.
Vou me mudar deste lugar.

I stumble and fall,
It wasn’t a faint,
It wasn’t a trick fate played on me.
Drunk on my daydreams, I don’t
Notice the despair in the tears, and
I don’t even realize the “no’s.”
It’s all so much like a sermon.
I stumble and fall,
But I don’t ask for a hug to hold me up.
Everything stays in its place, except
The tears that stream from my eyes.
The pretense offers no comfort; the shame
Of the stumble hurts more than the fall itself.
I shouldn’t have left my spot.
I stumble and fall.
It’s not drunkenness.
I gave myself away—what a mistake!
Falling and not wanting to get up.
Giving up on life is out of the question,
Staying in the same place makes me sad,
It makes me cry.
I stumble and fall. I’ve been through this before.
I don’t expect you to lift me up, nor
To reach out your hand to me.
I need to learn to be on my own; I urgently need to know
How to start over—I can’t go on stumbling through life.
I’m going to move away from this place.
