O meu fardo - My burden

 

Envelheci.

O que me foi dado a viver, vivi. 

Os meus olhos, agora cansados, vêm,

ainda que sem muita nitidez, a hora

da minha despedida.

Vou partir!

Quero  partir desta vida sem fardo algum.

Tudo que fiz, tudo que ganhei e tudo

que vivi deixo aqui.

A única coisa que pretendo levar comigo

quando da minha despedida é o teu 

perdão.

O teu perdão. 

O perdão que te peço aqui, agora.

Me perdoe! 

Permita-me despojar-me deste fardo,

este peso que não trouxe comigo

quando nasci.

Envelheci! 

Envelheci e, não tarda, terá chegado a 

hora da minha despedida.

Parto e não levarei, senão, a saudade

dos entes queridos que deixo aqui.

Envelheci.

My burden

I've grown old. 

What I was given me to live, I lived. 

My eyes, now tired, see, even if not very 

clearly, the hour of my farewell. 

I'm leaving! 

I want to leave this life without any burden. 

Everything I've done, everything that  

I've earned, and everything that I've 

lived in this life I'll leave here. 

The only thing that I want to take with 

me is you forgiveness. 

Your forgiveness. 

The forgiveness that I'm asking you here, 

now. 

Please, forgive me! 

Allow me to shed this burden, this weight 

that I didn't bring with me when I was 

born.

 

I have grown old! 

I've grown old and soon it will be the time 

to me to say goodbye to this life. 

I'm leaving and I don´t want to take 

nothing with me if not the nostalgia of the 

ones that I loved. 

I've grown old.

O “daqui a pouco”. - The "in alittle while".

Não sou tolo para acreditar

no que o “daqui um pouco” 

promete entregar, 

promessas costumam falhar.

A farsa disfarça e esconde

as verdades sobre as quais

ela não gosta de falar.

Uma situação a considerar.

Oremos! 

Oremos pelos que não 

sabem orar.
Olhemos!

Olhemos pelos que não
conseguem enxergar.

Não chorem!
Nestes casos não cabe, 
chorar não!
Vai passar! 

O “daqui a pouco” esta

dançando, e tem um monte

de estúpidos batendo 

palmas para ele dançar.
