No bairro onde vivi a minha juventude,
um lugar humilde, igual a quadra-2, do
Setor norte do Gama.
Sim, o Gama!
Cidade satélite de Brasília, DF, o meu
bairro era mais conhecido por SHIS
nova.
Eu vivi a Quinha, a preta, a Marli, a
Dunalva, vivi inclusive a Vera.
Eu as vivia, mas nenhuma delas nunca
soube que eram vividas por mim.
Lá na SHIS nova, para o grupo que eu
frequentava, as peladas no campinho
de terra eram sagradas.
Os craques do pedaço eram o Raul, o
Catatau, o Ródão, o Beto, o Samir e
o Tadeu, que chegou bem depois.
Jogadores muito disputados.
Eu, com o meu jeitão desengonçado,
fazia parte do grupo dos pernas de
pau, junto com o Robson, com o
Chiquinho, o Guinha, o Jamil, e mais
uma meia dúzia de moleques que só
eram escolhidos por algum time
quando não tinha mais ninguém para
ser escolhido.
O tempo passou e levou cada um de
nós para lugares diferentes, e tudo se
perdeu, acabou.
Há muito não vou à SHIS norte, e há
muitos mais tempo não encontro os
meu colegas, e nem os amigos de
outrora.
Até as velhas paixões recolhidas o
tempo apagou.

The neighborhood where I grew up.
In the neighborhood where I spent my youth,
a humble place, just like block 2, in the
northern sector of Gama.
Yes, Gama!
A satellite city of Brasília, DF, my
neighborhood was better known as SHIS
Nova.
My neighborhood had everything, including
happiness, and I was very
happy living there.
At that time, everyone was
invited to all the parties in the
neighborhood; you just had to show up and
join in.
On the street where I lived, my neighbors
knew when I was walking up or down the
street, because no one else there shuffled
their slippers like I did while walking.
Wow!
Now I feel a deep longing.
It was there in SHIS Nova that I experienced
my first and greatest passions.
I lived Quinha, Preta, Marli,
Dunalva, I even lived Vera.
I lived them, but none of them ever
knew they were lived by me.
At the new SHIS, for the group I
hung out with, soccer games on the dirt field
were sacred.
The stars of the neighborhood were Raul,
Catatau, Ródão, Beto, Samir, and
Tadeu, who arrived much later.
They were highly sought-after players.
I, with my clumsy style, was part of the
group of slowpokes, along with Robson,
Chiquinho, Guinha, Jamil, and half a dozen
other kids who were only chosen for a
team when there was no one else left to
choose.
Time has passed and took each of us to
different places, and everything was lost,
ended.
I haven't been to SHIS North in a long time,
and it's been even longer since I've seen my
colleagues, or even my friends from the
past.
Even old passions have been erased by time.
