Cais!
Cais e, em teu tombo, pronuncias nomes que
esqueces tão pronto te pões de pé.
De pé, encostado à parede do vento
que
sopra as tuas feridas, pronuncias palavras
que ferem a sanidade.
É
a idade da morte que se aproxima de ti e,
te tira para dançar, e danças.
Danças até cair, e não mais te levantar.
Cais!
Como a chuva silenciosa da
madrugada, cais.
Cais e adormeces estendido no chão até
que
o este absorva o teu corpo.
Cais!
Cais!
Cais e em teu tombo, abraça-te a
saudade que
sofre de solidão enquanto te acena
um adeus.
Cais como o orvalho do final da
primavera
que furta o perfume das flores que deveria
perfumar.
Cais!
Cais e em teu tombo arrasta consigo a
felicidade que,
displicente, passeava ao teu
redor.
Cais!
Cais e
chora, silenciosamente, com vergonha
de eu ouvir
o teu pranto chamar o meu nome.
Cais no
silêncio que te consome até não
poderes mais aguentar-te de pé, e cais.

You fall!
You fall!
You fall, and as you tumble, you utter names that
you forget as soon as you get back on your feet.
Standing, leaning against the wall of wind that
blows across your wounds, you utter words
that wound sanity.
It is the age of death that draws near to you and
draws you out to dance, and you dance.
You dance until you fall, never to rise again.
You fall!
Like the silent rain of dawn, you fall.
You fall and fall asleep sprawled on the ground until
it absorbs your body.
You fall!
You fall as heavily as the storms that destroy
daydreams and bury dreams.
You fall like the sorrows that make the eyes
shed tears they have none left to
cry, and scare away the smiles from the lips.
You fall like the promises lost
in time without ever being fulfilled.
You fall!
You fall, and in your fall, longing embraces you—
longing that suffers from loneliness as it waves a farewell.
You fall like the dew at the end of spring
that steals the scent of the flowers it was meant
to perfume.
You fall!
You fall, and in your fall you drag along with you the
happiness that, indifferent, used to wander around you.
You fall!
You fall and weep, silently, ashamed
that I might hear your sobs calling my name.
You fall into the silence that consumes you until you
can no longer stand, and you fall.
