Tropeço nos
restos que as coisas
da
vida deitam em meu caminho
e caio.
Ali no chão, humilhado pelos
risos e sorrisos que sorriem dos
meus infortúnios, percebo a vida
despida de quaisquer sentimento
nobre por mim.
A vida, como
vida, não a percebo
como mãe, mas como madrasta.
À vida pouco importa se me
mantenho de pé ou se caio.
Aos seus olhos nada sou, senão,
mais um vivente.
Triste, humilhado, busco apoio
no chão mas este, com ar
zombeteiro, abre a sua boca e
me engole.
A vida, com suas coisas, não é
mãe de ninguém e trata a todos
como enteados.
Não!
Não há choro, não há tristezas.
O tiquetaquear do tempo não
parará só porque a vida me
atira ao chão.
Nada para, nada muda.
Na realidade, quando a vida
me atirado ao chão, a tristeza
não se entristece, tampouco
me estende a mão.
Ali no chão me sinto só,
me sinto abandonado em
plena multidão.

That's life
I stumble over the debris that the things
of life scatter in my path
and I fall.
There on the ground, humiliated by
the laughter and smiles that mock
my misfortunes, I see life
stripped of any noble feeling
toward me.
Life, as life, I do not perceive
as a mother, but as a stepmother.
It matters little to life whether I
remain standing or fall.
In its eyes, I am nothing but
just another living being.
Sad, humiliated, I seek support
on the ground, but it, with a
mocking air, opens its mouth and
swallows me.
Life, with all its ways, is no
one’s mother and treats everyone
like stepchildren.
No!
There are no tears, no sorrows.
The ticking of time will not
stop just because life
throws me to the ground.
Nothing stops, nothing changes.
In reality, when life
throws me to the ground, sadness
does not grieve, nor
does it reach out a hand to me.
There on the ground I feel alone,
I feel abandoned in
the midst of a crowd.
