A minha orquídea - My orchid

A orquídea que quando pela
Primeira vez abracei vestia a mais
Linda das flores, já não flora mais.
O tempo a desnudou e, desnuda,
Ela não sorri e nem mostra felicidade.
A orquídea que conheci vistosa e
Radiante de alegria agora esconde
A sua tristeza na flor que recusa-se
A brotar do seu ventre e, em
Seu olhar mudo que me olha com
Indiferença quando retorno para
Casa.
Acolhida em um vaso de barro que
Repousa sobre um velho banquinho
De madeira no canto da sala,
A orquídea observa a solidão que
Me amedronta e pensa: - O que
Seria deste velho homem sem a
Minha companhia?
Para os meus botões confesso que
Não sei como seria a minha vida
Sem a triste orquídea que, apesar
De não florir mais, colore a minha
Vida.
Abandonar-me? Não! A minha
Orquídea não me abandonará.
Morrer?
Minha sala e dentro do meu
Olhar interrogativo a me perguntar:
- Por que me olhas? Na verdade
Não sei por que a olho, mas olho
Como se não tivesse certeza de
Que ela vai estar ali me esperando.
Amo a minha orquídea! Ela é minha,
E eu a amo.

My orchid

The orchid which, when I first
Hugged use to dress the most
Beautiful flowers, no longer
Exist.
Time has stripped her down
And naked she does not
Smile or shows happiness.
When I first met my orchid
She use to show beauty and
Overjoy. Now she hides her
Sadness in a flower which
Refuses to bloom from her
Womb and her dumb eyes
Gaze me with indifference
When I return home.
Welcoming in a clay pot
Which rests on an old wood
Stool in the corner of my living
Room, the orchid notes the
Loneliness that frightens me
And she thinks: - What would
Be this old man without my
Company?
To myself I confess that
I don´t know how would
Survive without my sad orchid.
Despite she do not bloom
Anymore, she still brings
Colors into my life.
To abandon me? No way! My
Orchid would never leave me.
To die? She will not to die!
It has been a long time since
I first met her. She is there,
In the corner of my living
Room and deep inside my
Heart.
In the end of the day, when
I return home, I seek for my
Orchid and it is when I meet
Her quizzical gaze asking me:
- Why are you looking at me?
The truth is that I do not know
Why I look at her but, I do
Look like she is not there
Waiting for me.
I love my orchid! She's mine,
And I love her.

Minhas palavras - My words

Não te deixes guiar pela tristeza
E nem permita que as lágrimas
Embacem o brilho do teu olhar.
Não ter equivoque em meio as
Minhas palavras, quando estas
Dizem não te amar.
O fato de eu não te amar como
Gostarias que eu te amasse não
Significa que não te ame.
O amar é simples assim:
Ama-se.
O amor é tão complexo quanto
Simples.
Ainda que eu queira, nunca te
Conseguirei te amar como desejas
Que eu te ame.
Não importa, te amo da forma que
Me é dado amar.
Não te deixes guiar pelos
Mal-entendidos das palavras,
Estes geram frustrações e
Decepções que desaguam no
Rancor para amargar como ódio.
O fato de eu não te amar como
Gostarias que eu te amasse não
Significa que não te ame.

My words

Don´t allow yourself to be guided
By sadness, and do not let the
Tears dull the brightness of your
Eyes.
Do not mistaken my words when
They say that do not love you
Because, the fact of I do not love
You in the way you would like it
Do not means that I don´t love
You.
To love is simple:
Just love.
Love is complex as much as to
Explain it. Even if I want to love
You in the way you want it,
I will never get it, but I do love
You in the way it's given me to
Love.
Please, don´t allow yourself to
Be guided by the words´
Misunderstand because it
Generate frustration and
Disappointments which flow
Into grudge and bitter as much
As the hate.
The fact that I do not love you in
The way you want it, do not
Means that I don´t love you
At all.

Atado - Tied

Não consigo me encontrar!
Vago em meio a pensamentos
Perdido, em devaneios que
Devaneiam sem cessar.
Não sei o que fazer!
Outra noite, enquanto dormia,
Te encontrei em meus sonhos.
Estavas linda, o teu perfume
Aconchegou-se em meus
Braços e me amou, nos amamos
E acordei.
Não sei como viver!
A vida, em seus desatinos,
Brinca com os meus anseios.
Ela brinca de me fazer errar e
Erro. Erro tanto que me perco,
Desencontro-me, desaprendo
A amar!
Amo!
Quando amo me deixo sufocar e
Sofro e, quando sofro, paro de
Amar e faço chorar.
Nunca aprendi a ler!
Repaginando o livro da vida
Percebo que nada aprendi com o
Tempo.
Ressabiado dou-me conta de que
Não sei da noite, me esqueci do
Frio e das lágrimas.
Tolo não percebo ainda estar
Vivendo o passado que há muito
Me abandonou.

Tied

I cannot find myself!
I walk through lost thoughts
In daydreams which
Daydreams incessantly.
I don´t know what to do!
Certain night, while sleeping,
I met you in my dreams.
You were so beautiful, your
Perfume snuggled up into
My arms and loved mea and
We made love and I woke up.
Till today I don´t know how
To live without you!
Life, in her madness, fool all
My desires. Life plays to
Make me to do wrongs, and
I do make mistakes.
I do so many mistakes that
I get myself lost, I unlearn
To love!
Love! When I love I allow
Myself to be suffocate and
I suffer because of it,
When I suffer I do stop to
Love and my heart does cry.
I never learned to read!
Repaginating the life´s book
I realize that I have learned
Nothing from it.
Wary I find out that I don´t
Know about the night, I find
Out that I forgot the cold
And the tears.
Fool, I still don´t understand
That I am living a past which
Has long abandoned me.

Meu pai - My father

Meu pai!
Meu porto seguro, árvore frondosa de bons
Frutos.
Pai!
Agasalho que me guardou das intempéries da
Vida, braços onde repousei em segurança quando
Pensei estar vencido.
Pai!
Amor, devoção, palavras que guardo em meu
Coração.
Pai!
Meu pai.
Ainda posso ver papai a porta do o meu quarto
Entreabrir para o boa noite do meu adormecer.
Meu pai minha saudade!
Pai!
Meu pai, meu sol.
Admirarei.

My father

My father! My safe port, spreading tree of good
Fruits.
Father! Shelter which kept me from life´s hardship,
Arms where I rested safely when I thought to be
Defeated.
Father! Love, devotion, words that I keep in my
Heart. Father! My father. Wisdom that taught me,
Hand that guided me through life´s difficulties
And healed my wounds.
Father! My father! My longing. With heart full of
Love I can still hear your voice singing, rocking
Me to sleep. I can still see on my room´s,
Half-open door, his goodnight before I fall sleep.
My father my longing! The certainty that you are
Resting in the presence of our creator comfort
My heart and, even my heart is full of longing
By you, it does not cry.
Father! My father, my sun. I keep the joy of being
Part of your life and the joy of have shared your
Company with other members of our family.
My father!
Father! My father! Longing that will be eternal.
Father! In your rest be sure that you live in my
Heart and that I will love you forever.
Father! My father! Yesterday the moon which on
Moonlit nights we use to admire together, came
To tell me that you are happy where you are,
That you also pray for my happiness.
My father! My example of life, the image in
Which I aimed to be what I am today.
My father my idol, model of a man and person
Which I will always admire.

O que dizer de mim? - What about me?

críticos do amanhã.
ele!
despontava no horizonte, vindo do gélido polo norte, ao perceber
poeira.
Porque haveria de me importar com a dor e as lamúrias do vento?
enruga a minha face, me envelhece.

What about me?

What can be said about the sun that, uprooted from love, hides in fear
of storms?
What to think of the naked thoughts that, in their madness,
parade through my mind without caring about my
modesty?
I don't think, I forget.
It doesn't matter!
I deceive myself, I pretend to do what I want, ignoring the critical
thoughts of tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, where is it?
I think tomorrow must be drinking in one of those  bars of
life.
I don't even know if tomorrow will come tomorrow,
but what does it matter, I never wait for it!
Today already occupies me too much for me to still have to worry
about tomorrow.
Yesterday, in the middle of the day, I saw the sun watching sideways
as the wind appeared on the horizon, coming from the icy North Pole.
When it realized I was watching it, it hid.
The other day, for a few moments, I thought the sun was hiding out
of shyness, but then I realized that it hides because it doesn't
like me to know about its fear, its fear of the dark.
I don't like thoughts.
Thoughts are fake, they are treacherous!
Thoughts hide their fears in fears that are not
proper to their way of thinking.
Poor rain that cries its sadness alone!
The rain cries, it cries, it weeps without anyone noticing its
tears.
The rain weeps until, in desperation, it hurts, it wounds the
living, and then they pay attention to it.
The other day I saw the rain timidly approaching the sun, but the sun
hid behind the first cloud it found.
I suspect that the sun does not like the rain.
Well!
Overflowing with frustration and sadness, the rain fell furiously,
wetting the living and saddening them.
I speak of the wind, which I do not notice until it fills my eyes with
dust.
Why should I care about the pain and lamentations of the wind?
You know what? Indifference awakens the wrath of time, which,
in revenge, wrinkles my face and ages me.
Yesterday died, ignored by me.
How stupid I am!
Allowing yesterday to die without knowing what it
meant in my life.
Poor me!
The fate of things that die is ungrateful, changing to a day
where they don't know if the sun will ever shine there.
What can I say about myself being consumed by time?

Criança - Child

Amor, sonho, paixão.
Criança!
Vida que brota no ventre, que conta
A estória dos abraços, dos afetos e
Das fantasias compartilhadas.
Criança!
Sorrisos, emoções, alegria que
Inunda o coração.

Minha linda, doce e meiga criança!
Sonho vivendo a realidade, verdade
Paixão, amor eterno, e sendo adulto,
Continuarás a ser minha criança,
A minha criança,
A minha vida,

No útero, dando razão à vida.
Criança!
O amor se convertendo em um novo
Ser.

Criança!
A vida unindo vidas, o amor
Alimentando sonhos com realidade
E explicando a paixão.
Criança!
Amor, vida, esperanças, perspectiva,
Continuidade, renovação, fruto do
Amor, criança.
