Me arrastam para cama e ali me atiram enquanto me debato
Sem querer me deitar.
A cama calada,
Mauro

My sleep
The sleep weighs heavily on my eyes, which stubbornly insist on
Do not to sleep.
The sleep gives no respite and appeals to my body, which, tired
From another day of struggle, agrees with it and begs for my eyes
To sleep.
Tiredness embraces the sleep, which no longer has the patience
Even to wait for a bath, and together, they drag me to bed and
Throw me there while I struggle without wanting to lie down.
Sleep, irritated by my eyes' insistence on not sleeping,
Becomes irritating, loses patience, and becomes heavy.
The silent bed, quiet there in the room, waits without
Understanding why my eyes fight against the sleep.
Without caring about the irritation of sleep, my eyes look at the
Bed, wander around the kitchen in search of something I know
I didn't leave there.
Such is the ritual of my eyes before letting themselves be
Dominated by the sleep.
Late at night, nervous, my sleep pushes me to the bathroom,
Shouting - If you plan on showering before bed, do it now!
Do it now!
– After losing its patience, the sleep imposes its authority that
I never recognized, and overcomes my insubordination forcing it to
Take me to bed.
It's time to sleep, time to give rest to sleep which, tired, has difficulty
Recovering.
