Corro atrás do tempo - I'm racing after the time

E mostra a minha idade. Uma idade que eu gostaria de
Esconder.

Chuva me molhar, me lavar, tirar toda imundice encrostada

I'm racing after the time

I run after the wind to get a clear sense of just how fast
Time slips away from me.
I let myself be bathed by the rain just to observe the pleasure
It feels as it wets me, as it takes my body in its
Arms.
I let the cold wrap me in its embrace, just so I can know how much it
Hurts me when I’m overcome by the chill of loneliness.
I run!
I run after the wind that pushes my time toward where
it is lost in the oblivion of what has already been lived.

Blinded by the sun’s glare, I don’t realize that it
is creeping up on me, with the sole intent of
burning my skin, already somewhat scorched.
Parched by life’s indignities, my skin wrinkles
And reveals my age—an age I’d like to
Hide.
I run, trying to hold onto the wind that slips through my
Fingers and flees, mocking me, pulling and tearing
At my hair, exposing my baldness.

I run!
Not knowing where time is taking me, I go outside and let the
rain soak me, wash me, wash away all the filth encrusted
in my soul.
Wary of the wind’s comings and goings, I step out and let the rain
pour down on my body; I let it wash away my self, and,
purified, I run after the time that steals my youth.
Lost in reverie, I fly with the wind, going where it
Turns into time, and I try to interrupt it and thus prevent
It from taking my life, prematurely, back to where it
Began.
